Weekly market in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg
Every Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm on Arnswalder Platz at Pasteurstraße, in the Bötzowviertel right in the middle of Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.
Most of the businesses at the Bötzowmarkt are small, and the people behind the stall are usually the owners. That means you can ask where something comes from and get an answer from someone who knows.

What you'll find
Some of the stalls are run by the growers themselves: farmers from Brandenburg and the Spreewald who grow their own fruit and vegetables. Alongside them are small workshops and family businesses.
Cheese
From mountain cheese to fresh goat's cheese, at two stalls.
Fresh pasta
Made in house, without colourings or preservatives.
Meat and sausage
From higher-welfare animal farming, plus air-dried salami from France.
Bread and pastry
Baguettes, croissants and sweet pastries, baked in Berlin-Neukölln.

Turkish, Indian and Italian cooking, crêpes, French patisserie, coffee and Mexican lemonade.
Delicatessen
Fresh cheese, antipasti and olives to take away.

Fresh fish and smoked fish.

From all over the city
A weekly market for Berlin
The Bötzowmarkt is in the north-east of Berlin's inner city, right next to Volkspark Friedrichshain. Most people come from the neighbourhood, on foot or by bike. But it is an easy trip from other parts of the city too: tram M10 stops right at the square, at Arnswalder Platz. It runs without changing from Hauptbahnhof and Nordbahnhof via Eberswalder Straße, and from the other direction from Warschauer Straße via Frankfurter Tor. From Alexanderplatz, take the M4 to Greifswalder Str./Danziger Str. and change to the M10 there, one stop.
Twenty-three businesses in ten product groups set up on the square, from fruit and vegetables from Brandenburg and the Spreewald to fresh pasta made in-house. There is a French touch as well: pâtisserie from Crème de Paris, crêpes and galettes from Martin's Crêperie, baguettes and croissants from Le Brot, and air-dried salami from France. The market is on every Saturday, all year round and in any weather.

Every Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. The Bötzowmarkt has a single market day per week — on every other day Arnswalder Platz is an ordinary square.

On Arnswalder Platz at Pasteurstraße 32, 10407 Berlin. That is in the Bötzowviertel, a residential quarter in the Prenzlauer Berg district, borough of Pankow.
How do I get there?
Take tram M10 to Arnswalder Platz, about 100 metres from there. All routes on foot, by public transport, bike and car are on the Contact and directions page.
What is sold at the market?
Twenty-three businesses across ten kinds of goods: fruit and vegetables, cheese, fresh pasta, meat and sausage from higher-welfare farming, bread and pastry, food and drinks from the stall — Turkish, Indian, Italian, pizza, crêpes, French patisserie, coffee and Mexican lemonade —, delicatessen, fresh and smoked fish, cut flowers and pet food. Most of the vegetables come from Brandenburg — from the Spreewald and the surrounding area.
Can I pay by card?
At some stalls, yes. Each business decides for itself and we cannot speak for all of them — it is best to ask directly at the stall.
With cash you will get by everywhere.
Is there coffee and food on site?
Yes. Coffee at the Coffee Bike, crêpes at Martin's Crêperie, plus hot food at a Turkish and an Indian stall and French patisserie at Crème de Paris.
Does the market take place in the rain?
Yes. The market takes place in rain as well as sunshine — Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm. The stalls have awnings.
Where can I park my bike?
There are bike racks on the square.

Yes, the market runs all year round. There is no winter break — every Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm, in winter too.

History
The weekly market has been held on Arnswalder Platz every Saturday since 2008. The idea was simple: a market for fresh, wholesome food, in the middle of the neighbourhood and within walking distance.
What began with a handful of stalls has become a fixed Saturday appointment for many neighbours over the years.
